Drawing something with a few suggestive lines is so much more complicated than drawing a more embodied subject. Yet, you have completely captured the lightness and transparency of this lovely character.
Great choice of colors, and I just love the cotton-cloud-dress Bravo!
Wow! I love that colour combination of warm yellow and magenta. I think its great that you know when to blend (like at her hair) and when to keep the colour separate (at the hem of the robes).
The thing I find most beautiful is the arrangement of the swirly, soft cloud patterns of her robes, juxtaposed with the angular and structured nature of her lower body. Luscious relationship between the hips, thigh and knee in addition to the ankle, heel and toes; yet you stylistically curved the calves/ shin section to help integrate the organic and flowing shapes of the robe to the beautifully angular skeletal structure of the figure.
I only have noticed one small thing with your rendering. It looks like you continued to apply tone with your pencils even when they got considerably blunt, which I noticed especially in the bottom left corner. Other than that, a beautiful drawing... I'm so jealous...
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed and thorough comment and I read it a few times haha
And you're correct haha! Sometimes I feel it's a bit faster to use more blunt lead for large shading areas/larger lines, but I definitely know what you mean, and I'll be more aware of that in my future works! 8)
